Welcome to July
EAT YOUR PRODUCE
July is the perfect month for tomatoes - no matter how you categorize them, these jewels are a fantastic addition to your diet. There is no end to their uses and benefits. And if sweet fruits are more your jam - look for kiwis and raspberries as they are at their best this month.
Staying active and exercising regularly often results in temporary muscle soreness. DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) indicates that tiny tears in the muscles are being rebuilt and repaired - and this is where your fitness gains are achieved.
CELEBRATE WHAT’S GOOD
The biggest and brightest holiday this month is surely Independence Day on the 4th. Wherever you are in the U.S., you should have lots of options for some outdoor, patriotic festivities and family focused fun! But, let's not forget National Ice Cream Day on the 16th! Perhaps enjoy a scoop of your favorite flavor.
CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY
We live in a world of excess and it's making us feel anxious and stressed. How much is enough? Do you truly need all the clothes, accessories, appliances and knick-knacks in your home? Turns out living with less gives us room to breathe, relax and be open to the present moment and the joy that is available there.
A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA...
Sundays don't have to be spent dreading Monday. Change that mindset and use Sunday as the set-up-for-success day. Plan your week, shop and meal prep, get in a light workout, disconnect from technology, chat with a friend or family member and prepare for the upcoming week with an expectation that it's going to be stellar.
