The Friday Five | April 3

by Liz Allen

Every week we'll share our favorite podcast episode, recipe, influenced item, a tip on living better everyday and something that inspired us. How much fun it that?!

Here's the breakdown!

Podcast:

We've been fans of Tim Ferriss for YEARS. And perhaps we've been fans of Brene Browns for even longer. We love when those we admire get together! So, of course, a Podcast episode with both of these brilliant minds was one we'd love. Jessica was particularly impacted by a "wake-up" call Brene shared. It's a MUST listen podast that can be found here.

Recipe:

Friday is the perfect day for a Cocktail recipe - and  what more fun than a little KIT Quarantini.
Be sure to tune into our Instagram Stories to see Liz put it together. Love adding aloe juice in for a little extra nutrient punch with suggested benefits of hydration, digestive and liver support. Not to mention - it's super yummy!

Titos Vodka - 1 shot

Club Soda - 1/3 cup

Ginger Zevia - 1/3 cup

Aloe Juice - 2 tbsp

Stevia Drops - to taste

Lemon Juice - to taste

Lime Juice - to taste

Influenced:

Juli Bauer (@paleomg) has been influencing us for YEARS. We started following her for her incredible recipes, and as her brand has grown so has her sharing. She shares workouts and fashion - we just can't get enough. When she posted this adorable top, I went ahead and snagged it (and several other items) which are all still on sale.

Better Everyday:

Hubby and  I finished up 2 rounds of Liift 4 (a Beachbody program) and I'm ready to spice things up. I've always enjoyed working out with Autumn, but didn't love the Hammer and Chisel program as it was offered. THEN!! I realized there was a schedule for a 30 day Chisel - so here goes week one. Loving it so far!

Inspired:

This week has been a whirlwind for MANY, MANY families across the world. With Distance Learning as the new school day, we're all sort of pivoting our lives to fit this all in. This post from Alexa Jean Brown really hit me, and if you're going through a tough time right now - it's a beautiful (and short!) read.
