April Favorites

by Jessica Locke

Spring has Sprung! And along with it we have a new crop of monthly favorites. Here are a few things we’re excited to share with you #kitgirls this month!

Lets start off with a good drink shall we? Although it’s non-alcoholic, you can still expect a bit of a buzz! This Green Tea with Mango is super yummy. A caffeinated treat I’ve been enjoying both hot and iced. My Aunt, Shu Shu (as many of you have heard me refer to her) recommended this to me probably a year ago. But, for some lame reason I never got around to trying it until this month. Once again – she was right! It’s delightful! Very refreshing and stimulating with a slightly sweet taste.

You can find it on Amazon and probably many other places. I noticed it also comes with peach or blueberry flavor too so those are on my list to try next.

Next up is a simple little gadget I also found – you guessed it – on Amazon. This Silicone Brush Holder adheres perfectly to my vanity mirror and keeps all the brushes I use daily close at hand. It’s a cute space saver and makes “putting my face on” very convenient. Although it holds 10-15 brushes; it did cause me to pare down my collection brushes a bit. It was good to get rid of a bunch of old, worn out, rarely used brushes and now I have just what I need all within reach. You can’t see it in the picture below but I also have a silicone pocket that sticks to the counter ledge as well. It perfectly holds my curling iron and keeps it off the counter while not in use. Check them out on Amazon – they have several varieties and fun colors to suit your space and décor.

Another “around the house” something I’d love to recommend is called Fairy Potion. I found this product locally right here in Winter Garden. Its been selling at two of my fave local shops– Driftwood Market and The Farmacy. You know we love a good locally crafted product and it makes our hearts happy to shop with our neighbors! Icing on the cake is that this product works so well. Fairy Potion is a non-toxic, naturally made multi-purpose spray that has been cleaning ALL the surfaces in my house like a boss! It’s made with essential oils (love!) and plant based ingredients designed to clean, sanitize and deodorize your house. I’m linking the Fairy Potion website here but I think in order to purchase you’ll need to contact Driftwood or The Farmacy for direct mail orders. (http://www.fairypotioncleaning.com) I suggest taking a peak at the website though since they also make room sprays and other cleaning products too. I’ve been very pleased with this new find!

On the Podcast front – Liz has been enjoying The Balanced Blonde. Below is an excerpt that tells a bit about what content you can expect to hear:

HERE WE DISCUSS EVERYTHING FROM THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURIAL BLOGGING LIFE TO WELLNESS HACKS, FRIENDSHIPS IN THE BLOGGING WORLD, BRANDING A BUSINESS, NUTRITION TIPS, HOW TO KEEP THE PASSION ALIVE, AND BALANCING IT ALL IN THE PROCESS. JORDAN INTERVIEWS HER DEAR FRIENDS WHO ALSO HAPPEN TO BE KEY NAMES IN THE WELLNESS INDUSTRY ON A WIDE VARIETY OF TOPICS, SO THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW TO LEARN. THE NATURE OF THE PODCAST IS CONVERSATIONAL, FUN AND LIKE YOU’RE TALKING WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND. AS ALWAYS, WE WANT YOU TO GET TO KNOW JORDAN BETTER THROUGH THE PODCAST AND GIVE YOU A GLIMPSE INTO HER LIFE AND THOSE SHE SURROUNDS HERSELF WITH. IT’S PRETTY MUCH A BLAST, SO RELAX, ENJOY AND SUBSCRIBE!

You know we love to learn and Liz says Jordan has been exposing her to all sorts of new and interesting information and insights related to health and wellness!

Another recommendation from Liz is this snazzy at home sauna. Sauna’s have many reported benefits including increased heart health, decreased muscle soreness, better blood pressure, stronger cognitive function as well as pain relief (source; Women’s Health). This quarter we’re focusing on Self-Care both in our KIT Planners (See Quarter #2 check in) and within our Progress Pack so this is a timely recommendation.Spending a few minutes nightly in her sauna is one of the ways Liz is focusing on her own Self Care. Admittedly when we picture her in this contraption we giggle just a bit – but she says it great and we believe her! Fun fact – she admits to watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants while ensconced in her private sauna cocoon!

*Shameless Plug Ahead!

If you aren’t familiar with our Progress Pack – head to the website to learn more about it.  We’ve got a great group of gals who we are mentoring throughout the year! Each quarter we have a new focus complete with mini video courses, a private and active FB group, live FB check ins, private one-on one calls and of course some fun snail mail and other surprises too. We’d love to have you join us on this journey to Do More, Be More and Give More in 2019 and beyond!

Last but not least, Jenny discovered a new shower/bath gel in April – another home run from the Target Method line this body wash is good for you and the environment. It comes in several scents and is priced well. The website highlights the following benefits below. Peony, rose water and sea salt is her fragrance of choice!
